Led a team of six engineers during the research and design of the battery pack for the next car under a budget of $3000. Used SolidWorks to design the mechanical modules to store the electrical modules. Designed the electrical modules and the wiring configuration of the battery pack to solar array and motor controller. Performed capacity and internal cell resistance tests on battery pack cells to evaluate the health of battery cells.

• Utilized AutoCAD to design the entire layout of a battery energy storage site ensuring the correct spacing between equipment and including the placement of battery enclosures, transformers, inverters, retention pond, substation, roads, and fences. • Worked with fellow assistant electrical engineers to size cables and conduits for BESS equipment by learning how to run a thermal model of the cable sizing using ETAP. Additionally assisted in completing the cable and conduit schedules for BESS projects. • During quality reviews of design work I aided the lead engineers in picking up any comments necessary to fix detailed designs on both battery design projects and battery augmentation projects. • Completed department projects: updating the installation guidelines for conduit and grounding for BESS projects, created a factory acceptance testing OneNote for transformers, updated the short-circuit template, and created 100 MW/ 400 MWH layout for a specific battery technology. • Expanded my understanding of the power industry and power systems, with a focus on battery energy storage sites.

Project Sentinel: Application of AI to Analyze Imagery from Camera Systems Deployed in Agricultural SettingsCommunicating two Heltec ESP32 LoRa radios with one another to move data to and from a Raspberry Pi or Jetson nano. The Heltec ESP32 LoRa radios were programmed through Arduino.Setup Raspberry Pi 4 B and effectively communicate data between the ESP32 LoRa devices and Raspberry Pi. Python was used to program the Raspberry Pi 4 B and the LoRa radios.Troubleshooted the communication protocol between the two Heltec ESP32 LoRa radios and connecting their outputs to the Raspberry Pi.

Created and president of an environmental club in High School in which we partnered with Keep Pinellas Beautiful (KPB) doing beach and road cleanups, tree plantings, and invasive species removals. Additionally brought a microplastics research program to East Lake High School funded by KPB.
