I am a third year mechanical engineering student with plans to continue my education with a masters in mechanical engineering (M.M.E.). I hope to apply the knowledge I have accumulated at UF in the aerospace/defense industry. More than this, I am excited to learn new things that I can apply both in a professional and a personal setting. I am active in the Solar Gators design team where I focus on the cars aerodynamics. This club has fostered the development of a variety of practical skills, such as welding and carbon fiber layups. In addition, I am heavily involved with the Florida Running Club where I continue to compete in middle distance races (800m-5km) as well as volunteer in the local community. In my spare time I taught myself how to play the guitar. I have started to apply my engineering skills by repairing these instruments as well as designing one to build in the future. As someone with a passion to learn, I also enjoy teaching my peers. This led to the development of a tutoring program for my high school, which later evolved into my own private tutoring business. As a tutor, I run one-on-one tutoring sessions for college and high school students in STEM topics and college essay writing.
