As the Managing Director, Volunteer Engagement at The ALS Association (ALSA), I am a passionate and dedicated nonprofit leader who strives to create a world without ALS. ALSA is the only national nonprofit organization fighting ALS on every front: research, care services, public policy, and education.I oversaw the volunteer engagement strategy and operations for the Midwest region, as well as the West region. I worked with a team of staff and volunteers to recruit, train, and retain volunteers who support ALSA's mission and vision. I also managed the customer relationship management (CRM) system, the budgeting and reporting processes, and the event planning and execution for various fundraising and awareness campaigns. Additionally, I served as an interim territory executive for the West region, where I lead the strategic planning, partnership development, care services and advocacy efforts. Through my work, I aimed to empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest, and to accelerate the discovery of treatments and a cure for this devastating disease.
