It is a world-leading Advanced Visual Docking Guidance system (an aircraft parking aid) named Safedock with an install base of more than 6600 systems at airports all over the world. It is written entirely in C++ and runs on our custom hardware. This has given me extensive experience in software design and what it takes to write software with an expected operational lifetime of 10 years or more and high demands on performance and reliability. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting and design/planning.I was also in contact with our on-site engineers on a weekly basis, helping them with a variety of issues ranging from questions on configuration to tracking down malfunctioning hardware.We did development both in teams and solo, but to ensure quality at all times we had a rule that said all code should be reviewed before release.
