Peter Bailey is a professional marketing and strategic communications specialist with 30 years of experience balanced between both public and private sectors.Born and raised in Darwin, Peter started his career in print journalism before moving into management and leadership roles which saw him develop a broad range of skills in marketing and communications, sales, operations, human resources, corporate governance, project management, event management, media and crisis management.Peter’s roles have included high-level communications and stakeholder engagement advice at management and board levels, policy development and change leadership in industries undergoing rapid change and has experience across a number of sectors including sport, major events, hospitality, manufacturing, not-for-profit, politics and energy.Peter has lived and worked in both Darwin and Alice Springs and has travelled extensively in remote areas of the Northern Territory.Peter’s personal interests include a lifetime involvement in volunteer roles for a number of community and sporting organisations. Many of these roles have included primary responsibility for rewriting constitutions and by-laws, as well as player and club advocacy roles.Peter is married with four children ranging in age from 17 to 27.
