As Director of Development, I am responsible for all aspects of the Crisis Center's fundraising, including: creating a donor identification pipeline, setting a donor cultivation strategy, soliciting major gifts ($5,000+), public relations, brand development & marketing, donor relations, and community awareness & outreach. My goal is to build a culture of philanthropy on behalf of the Crisis Center so that its mission and organizational goals can be effectively accomplished.

My role as Development Director encompassed strategic fundraising, soliciting major gifts ($5,000+), public relations, brand development & marketing, donor relations, donor identification & cultivation, and community awareness & outreach. My overarching goal is to build a culture of philanthropy on behalf of Wellspring so that its mission and organizational goals can be effectively accomplished.Specific responsibilities include:Developing, managing, & implementing 1, 3, and 5 year fundraising plans & budgets, including a calendar of activities and events.- Orchestrated a 65% increase in fundraising from $850,000 to $1.4 million over 3 years at Wellspring Community.Overseeing all aspects of fundraising department: annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, grant writing and event planning.- Directly responsible for soliciting major gifts ($5k - $25K) from high net-worth individuals- Led team of staff & 3rd party contractors to successfully execute special events- Supervised staff and 3rd party contractors to apply for grants- Wrote direct mail appeals & solicitations for fundingOverseeing marketing and communication strategies for Wellspring- Supervised Communications Coordinator to develop the brand and "voice" of Wellspring- Worked with 3rd party graphic designer to develop marketing collateral- Wrote copy for print and digital media- Editing and updating content on websiteRaising Wellspring’s profile within the greater Denver metro area as one of the leading innovators in caring for adults with special need- Lead all public relations efforts, overseeing PR and press requests, coordinating news stories for both television and print media, and crafting press releases to enhance Wellspring's image and reputation- Giving multi-media presentations to interested groups about Wellspring's mission, vision, and initiatives- Serving as an ambassador for Wellspring at business gatherings and civic events

Advised mental health professionals on business development practices, corporate and non-profit formation and documentation.Conducted risk assessment and analysis for mental health organizations.Consulted with mental health professionals on business development and strategic plans.Collaborated with all of law firm's staff (including Senior Attorney) to develop curriculum for continuing education of mental health professionalsLed pivot to fully remote operations during COVID-19 shutdown.Responsible for branding and marketing.- Collaborated with Senior Attorney to write and edit monthly newsletter delivered to all law firm's clients (700+ unique emails)- Led team of 3rd party contractors to redesign firm's brand identity and website

Responsible for teaching the capstone, thesis-level course for all graduating M.A. Leadership students. Taught 10-15 students per semester the Action Research Method of problem solving, and coached them as they utilized this method to consult with actual organizations outside of class.

Created, launched, and led a variety of initiatives and programs to provide care and crisis-management for 4000+ member church. Select highlights include:
 - Led 7 direct reports—performance reviews, coaching, developing - Launched & grew Counseling Center from conception to 12+ independent contractors and over $600,000 in yearly gross revenue (including managing P&L) - Led team of cross-departmental personnel with focus on increasing volunteerism in the church - Led trainings, conducted meetings, and spoke to audiences ranging from 10 - 4000.

Led a collaborative team through an Action Research process to research and design a Care Department for Southeast Christian Church.

Responsible for overseeing the missions department, leading MOSAIC (college & career ministry), and teaching in the adult Sunday School ministry.
