As a graduate of New York Institute of Technology’s Energy Management program, I am excited to enter the rapidly evolving world of renewable energy, including but not limited to solar energy, while utilizing my electrical engineering and IT expertise, and knowledge in architecture. For many years now, almost every day there is disturbing news about climate change and the effect that it is having on our entire world. This is of great concern to me and is the reason why I decided that I want to become involved in the field of energy management. Increasing the use of renewable energy and expanding the use of energy efficiency measures will greatly reduce our dependency on non-sustainable fossil fuel sources, thus reducing the amount of greenhouse gases that are playing a major role in climate change. I hope to be an active player in helping to mitigate greenhouse gases for generations today and the future.Being an avid woodworker, I always try to adhere to the old adage, “measure twice, cut once”. It is usually faster to double check your measurements before cutting than to ruin an expensive piece of wood. This proverb doesn’t just pertain to woodworking. Throughout my career, I’ve always tried to use this proverb as a reminder to plan and prepare carefully before taking action and by paying attention to details.I am highly adaptable, with strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, as well as able to quickly identify and determine creative alternatives for solving complex problems.Skills include: • Exceptional ability to master and apply new skills • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite • Adept with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems • Basic understanding of MATLAB and MATLAB SimulinkI look forward to connecting with you on LinkedIn or you can email me at pbaron517@gmail.com
