Responsible for,• Annually conducting in-flight assessments to ensure the competency of all the External Pilot’s in theatre and that air safety standards are met• Producing an annual competency assessment report for each external pilot for company records.• Organising and managing the schedule for currency assessments on an annual basis.I am also qualified to conduct currency regain flights for external pilots that have fallen out of currency ‘level 1’ (i.e. up to 15 days after falling out of currency for both night and day activities).

Working as part of a deployed team on operations in the Middle East under Ministry of Defence Contractor on Deployed Operations (CONDO) regulations in support of UK forces. The project helps deliver ISTAR assets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, my role as an external pilot means I am responsible for the safe launch and recovery of Hermes 450 UAV in both normal and emergency situations as well as conducting test flights.
