About Steve Downey

Fully Licensed and Insured UAV pilot based in the UK, specialising in Oil & Gas, Telco and Infrastructure Inspections. Using LiDAR, Photogrammetry, Ground Penetrating Radar, Magnanimity and Gas Detection equipment. My mission is to use drones to help with some of earths greatest problems. I am proud to be at the forefront of this fast expanding industry. Being a qualified Helicopter Pilot gives me the the advantage of being able to communicate and view safety from both sides. I am able to bridge the gap between manned and unmanned aviation. My IT experience gives me a unique ability to apply technology, in all its forms, to business processes. Some of my business process knowledge includes accounting, finance, facilities, infrastructure, inventory control, budgeting, vendor management and various operational processes.I have experience with merger/acquisition events, high growth challenges, technology replacement projects and IT process improvement.I have delivered large international technology projects on schedule/on budget and in alignment with the business strategy.Before immigrating to the UK. I positioned myself to help businesses use Drones to save time and money while increasing productivity. Having knowledge from running Phone A Drone in South Africa, I have experience providing drone services to the Construction, real-estate, Telecoms and Media Industries.
