Currently I manage the labour/resources department within Briggs and Forrester Engineering services this includes overall responsibility for the selection, recruitment, talent management, training & development, and performance management of directly employed operatives which include supervision,tradesmen & apprentices across mechanical,electrical & plumbing disciplines. When the workload demand dictates arrange for supplement labour via temporary arrangements either through agency or sub contact packages. My responsibilities includes a combination of HR practices such as issuing of contracts of employment, general well being of employees (employee engagement),disciplinary procedures and termination either through redundancy or dismissal ensuring all procedures are in line with employment law legislation. Where possible strongly encourage projects to target areas of work to ensure maximum efficiency to the business and in turn offer incentives for increased productivity.
