Since I took on role as Operations Manager, there have been interesting developments of the equipment we offer and sell. Oil spill control equipment remains the largest business area, and we continue to develop it. Amongst others lifting equipment, which also includes DNV approved units. An area that is gaining more interest is ATEX approved units or systems. Often we are able to do the risk analysis and approval ourselves, unless it is for Zone 1 or 0 where we need to have an external party involved.Equipment for Sargassum collection has also been included in the product range, but what is of greatest interest is equipment for collecting plastic waste from rivers and other waterways. It will be exciting to follow further developments in these products.Our factory in India has momentum and we have strengthened the cooperation. The technical responsibility lies with me here in Odense, but the Indian organization has the opportunity to contribute to the common solutions.I am very pleased that we here in Odense per August 2019 have achieved 2 years and 9 months without a workrelated Incident. This is great!

Although I did not get to be fully trained as Well Services Supervisor, I got an invaluable knowledge to how a well is drilled and completed and well interventions, which I have had professional benefited of every day ever since.When the offer of a Production Supervisor position came, I went for it.

The only 12 month in my carrier, which has not had a maritime element, but it was a very instructive period. Both managerial and technical. It was my first job as a manager.But a desire to get back to the AP Moller Group emerged relatively quickly.

Storebælt

After coming home from Leise Mærsk, my wife and I agreed that I should not sail world wide any more. I got immediate appointment at DSB on "Storebælt". The ferries were a good place to work, but the time perspective was limited as the bridge and tunnel connection was already under construction.

After completion of "Udvidet maskinmester eksamen" (Marine Engineer Exam), I was appointed my first ship as 2. Marine Engineer.It was a small product tanker "Hulda Maersk", which sailed Northern European voyages. Muster period: 6 months.Next ship was Container vessel "Leise Maersk", Europe-USA-Far East. Muster period: 6 months. The last 3 months, I had my wife on board.
