I am a CPEng, Chartered Professional Engineer (Civil/Structural) with 35+ years experience. Starting out working for a variety of Auckland companies in the 1980s, I went on to spend a number of years with the then Waitakere City Council on their Regulatory Engineering Team before starting my own Engineering Consultancy in June 1994.Initially working with my cousin (also Peter Diprose) from PDA Architects, I gained specialised experience in high end residential projects, working with many Architects and Firms, mainly in Auckland. For a number of years, I had CPEng Geotech and carried out a lot of geotech work on the projects I was involved with.2012/2013 saw me do specialised post-quake work in Christchurch, assessing, inspecting and grading residential structures and commercial buildings affected by the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes. Along with Chartered Membership with Engineering New Zealand and a member since 1983. I am an active member of the New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering (NZSEE) since 1983, Auckland Structural Group (ASG) since 2000 and the Structural Engineering Society (SESOC) since 1994. I have been a member of the New Zealand Geotechnical Society (NZGS) from 1994 to 2015. I also regularly attend meetings, seminars and conferences of the Timber Design Society (TDS), Concrete New Zealand (CNZ) and others.The last 10 years have seen me involved in a wide variety of projects with highly professional Architects in Auckland, often involving intricate and complex landscaping designs with renowned Landscapers. I enjoy the thrill and excitement of new builds and the enhancement of existing structures. As my tag line says, for me it really is all about bringing architectural designs and dreams to life. I pride myself on my attention to detail, my exact approach to mitigating risk and my down to earth honesty and loyalty to those I work with.I am on a mission to enlarge my network of Architects and am seeking to build solid relationships that can translate into mutually beneficial collaborations and projects.
