Structural and civil engineer with Dudleys, providing a wide range of professional design services on a diverse range of projects. My experience to date has seen me deliver projects ranging from small residential developments, through to large multi-storey high rise buildings and most things in between. These projects have helped me to develop a broad understanding of all typical construction materials and apply this knowledge to some very technically challenging circumstances.Time spent with a steelwork fabricator has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the tough commercial pressures on many projects, practical implications of design decisions and developed my understanding in the field of structural fire engineering.Previously enjoyed completing a two year term as a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Teaching Fellow in Engineering Design at The University of Bradford - despite being a bit of a mouthful, I found this role to be hugely rewarding. Both for the response from students, who greatly appreciated the opportunity to help them understand theory with practical examples, whilst also helping to develop my communication skills.
