Weetwood Hall as an independent hotel, owned by Leeds University, is in a process of change. I was involved with the development of the new branded restaurant with close discussion with the designers, and other projects, including modernising bedroom offering and food and beverage delivery. Restructuring made the position redundant as on site MD was looking to take a more hands on role.

After improving the hotel in all aspects, I was head hunted to join Weetwood Hall, I showed double digit growth in average rate, repositioning the hotel in the local market. Managing a 250k investment in the MICE facilities boasting a fantastic ballroom and a further 12 meeting rooms.

Two ex Hilton properties with 144 and 98 rooms respectively, now operating under Holiday Inn Brand and Best Western consortia, part of the Chardon Management portfolio of hotels. Moorside Grange Hotel and Spa was sold to an education provider in February 2013 and ceased operating as a hotel.
