  •Discovered a novel endocytic program in dendritic cells that is induced by bacterial lipopolysaccharide and controls dendritic cells’ interferon response, and determined its molecular mechanism.•Developed a novel assay for endosome-to-cytosol transport for the study of antigen cross-presentation by dendritic cells.•Developed a novel assay for the flow cytometric detection and analysis of subcellular compartments, particularly endosomes.•Discovered a mechanism by which pharmacological inhibition of MEK leads to enhanced T cell responses to tumors, and how this leads to combination efficacy with anti-PD-L1, contributing directly to Genentech’s anti-PD-L1 clinical program.
