In the role of Training Officer i interviewed and selected successful candidates for process technician positions.When the operators started i would take them through a one week intensive training session that included managing hazards and assessing risk, plant and process knowledge, area inductions, pfd and p&id familiarisation, isolation, confined space and working at heights compliance.The operator would then be assigned to a team, based on the individuals abilities and the teams requirements.
