Funny - in the high tech industry it is no longer about what you know. What you know today is going to become the 'legacy technology' tomorrow. So it is really about what you are capable of. Your hunger for knowledge and ability to learn and become expert at whatever the new 'thing' is. So really it is about how well you have mastered adaptability and the art of acquiring knowledge. As well as clear and logical thinking. This is what I value in others and the primary strength I represent, too. Of course a ton of experience helps. Having been exposed to all kinds of technologies, and having solved innumerable issues in the past gives you a profound well to dip into.But clear leadership goes beyond technology. You need to build good relationships with the people you lead and all the stakeholders within your organization. Ultimately it is about the efficiency of working within and across teams. Building rapport is key.Having discussed my high-level philosophical stance, let's get back down to Earth. I have recently worked with cutting edge technologies, like AWS, Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, DynamoDB, AuroraDB, etc.. And I enjoyed learning about a multitude of industries throughout my career: Real Estate (AVM), Banking, Retail, Payments, Marketing and Telecommunications.
