CurrentResponsibilities include:• Manage suite of prestigious journals, overseeing journal article and issue production, from submission to online and print publication, using SAGE’s tracking software and content repository• Work to deadlines, ensuring articles and issues are published on schedule• Ensure that standard of journals is maintained at a high level, working with journals in a variety of styles: Chicago, American Psychological Association (APA), American Medical Association (AMA), American Sociological Association (ASA) • Perform final quality check on colleagues’ issues before sending issues to press• XML expert for colleagues in three global offices (Thousand Oaks, CA, London and Delhi), advising on how to resolve XML problems which prevent publication of online articles and issues• As part of XML Support duties, helped prepare Journals Production department for change of online platform• Created and inaugurated mini-training sessions of 30 minutes duration focused on a particular aspect of the Production Editor role• Maintain Journals Production Confluence site, updating procedure content regularly • Lead Trainer for several colleagues, coordinating the training by planning the trainee’s learning schedule and securing trainers for designated tasks
