My first job was in a kitchen and I loved it. I built up a career over 15+ years and worked in some of my home city's busiest and highest-quality restaurants. I explored other avenues here and there, gaining degrees in International Studies and Creative Writing, but cooking always captivated me the most. I'm currently based in Washington, DC in order to add what I can to the culinary prowess of this fascinating city.Through all that demanding work in professional kitchens, I never lost my love for writing. While my training is on the more creative side, I've been working to bring that discipline for rhythm and concise, descriptive language to all non-fiction genres I work in as well.When I'm not in the kitchen or at my keyboard, you can find me exploring museums, digesting film, and gathering more inspiration for delicious food.
