I currently work as an Offshore Inspection Engineer on the BP ETAP platform where I act as the main integrity focal point offshore and responsible for the co-ordination of all inspection activities. I support the Senior Inspection Engineer (SIE) in delivery of Oceaneering workscope as defined in the contract with the client. My day to day responsibilities are to:• Perform in-service visual/NDT inspections of process pipework & pressure vessels. • Ensure that Company and Client health and safety procedures are adhered to.• Roll out daily team briefings and safety meetings on a monthly basis. Issue daily progress reports. • Review and analyse NDT inspection reports and issue Anomaly Records for onshore review. Verify and close out Repair Orders upon completion. • Provide constructive feedback to the inspection team on the quality of their reports to continuously develop and improve competence, report quality and accuracy.• Plan, schedule and manage offshore inspection workscopes in the 2 week plan. Review and close out Maximo work orders. Generate work orders for emergent remedial work. • Produce certificates of examination to summarise workpack findings for review by SIE. Recommend anomaly corrective actions and inspection interval changes. • Perform working at height, permit to work and safety audits on a weekly basis. Manage a team of NDT technicians. Supervise inspections.• Mark up of pipework for fabric maintenance scopes and lead first issue toolbox talks. • Maintain close liaison with the platform personnel to ensure activities such as equipment scheduling, planning, availability etc. are implemented. • Apply temporary repairs to utility systems. Carry out temporary repair audits/inspections. Maintain the temporary repair register. • Ensure that plant and equipment is certified in accordance with Oceaneering and Client codes of practice, strategies and legislation. Show less
