For over 20 years I have managed all aspects of IT, Business Development and Marketing activity for small private businesses working in the Education Sector. Within Education, I have partnered with thousands of schools to raise aspirations, achievement, close the poverty related attainment gap and improve the wellbeing of young people. I have developed close working relationships with hundreds of Headteachers, Deputy Heads & key decision makers across the industry in both Primary, Secondary & local authority level. In particular I have 15 years experience promoting Carol Dweck's 'Growth Mindset' research, and have delivered interactive presentations to large groups of teachers and parents.Marketing wise, I have designed & implemented hundreds of campaigns, organising all aspects of direct mail writing, proofing and working with mail houses. Designing all resources, working with printers, creating all marketing flyers, brochures, banners & merchandising. Running email campaigns (across various tracking platforms including mailchimp/37signals CRM). Brand management & guidelines, GDPR compliance, event organisation, exhibiting across key education calendar events, creative input on incentives and I like to think I have excellent attention to detail and very high standards.From a Sales perspective, I account mange key clients, develop new business, deliver internal staff sales training sessions, run telesales campaigns and predominantly face to face field selling. Other key areas involve competitor research, presentations to large groups of school leaders/decision makers. providing excellent customer service, recruitment & procurement (including Public Contract Scotland tendering processes)My initial background was working in IT services (software development), I am highly proficient in MS Excel. Word PowerPoint and databases and type at 100+ words per minute. I have implemented and maintained CRM, customised interfaces, data imports, exports, cleaning, updating, reporting. Website content management & design, including domains, user and email set up. I have experience of a number of graphics software, and currently create all content for resources used in our business, including purchasing rights to images used in our website, brochures and presentation delivery. I have vast experienced in Google Suite, MS Teams and One Drive, google calendar/docs and sharing.In addition, for 4 years I invigilated the TOPCIMA (account exams) running and securing the safety of all data. I am also currently an SQA invigilator with relevant PVG certification.
