When I Joined Staffordshire Police in 2003 I started at the City Centre Hanley police station on the Response unit , responding to emergency 999 calls and a large variety of incidents. Whilst at Hanley in 2004 I trained as a Standard response Police driver , then later in 2009 I trained as an Advanced standard / pursuit trained Police Driver.I had periods of attachment to CID and was attached to the major investigation Unit ( MID ) for a period of 1 year as a family liaison officer during… Show more When I Joined Staffordshire Police in 2003 I started at the City Centre Hanley police station on the Response unit , responding to emergency 999 calls and a large variety of incidents. Whilst at Hanley in 2004 I trained as a Standard response Police driver , then later in 2009 I trained as an Advanced standard / pursuit trained Police Driver.I had periods of attachment to CID and was attached to the major investigation Unit ( MID ) for a period of 1 year as a family liaison officer during a murder investigation. I also trained as a police tutor and trained two new student officers up to a level where they could patrol independently .In 2011 I moved from Hanley City Centre response to Burton upon Trent Response unit . Whilst at Burton I tutored a further 4 student officers and continued to mentor them for their 2 year probationary period.I also spent 2 years on a neighbourhood action team between 2015 and 2017.Then in 2019 I was seconded to Staffordshire Police Driver Training school . Whilst seconded to driver training I completed a Police Driver Instructors course before starting driver training with Staffordshire Police officers and staff. Show less

Whilst there I Obtained NVQ level 2 wholesaling warehouse & stores, a HGV Class 1 (CE) License and a CPC national Goods transport managers qualification. I went on to manage both the warehouse and transport operation at the Stone Warehouse before it closed in 1997 .
