From February 2019, during our period as a listed company trading as Infigen Energy (IFN), I was responsible for investor relations, sustainability and communications. This was a strategically transformative period for Infigen. We acquired the Smithfield OCGT (123MW), transacted the SAGTs (120MW), launched a new customer centric brand and website, re-structured our management accounts for public market reporting and re-introduced distributions for our investors. Ultimately these collective achievements were recognised by an expansion of our institutional investor base and a substantial increase in our EV/EBITDA multiple. In 2020, Iberdrola recognised the strategic value of the Infigen platform. I had the opportunity to play an important role in the competitive change of control transaction (EV +$1.3bn) that was successfully completed in December 2020.

In this role, I helped manage a set of global equity investment funds with assets under management of up to US$6bn. Our investment philosophy centred on taking long term positions in businesses taking a sustainable approach to operating or developing real assets. Practically speaking, this involved analysing and managing large equity investments in materials, energy and infrastructure businesses. Given the large and long-term nature of our investments, this included the opportunity to perform on site due diligence at more than 100 real asset sites in 32 countries across five continents.Some highlights during this time included: (i) establishing our global renewable energy capability; (ii) contributing to winning a EUR600m mandate with one of Europe's leading sustainability investors; and (iii) delivering a proprietary data analytics system to improve information accessibility and ranking investment ideas. From 2010 to 2015, I represented our business from our London office.
