Full-time staff geoscientist with the Upstream Oil & Gas Company arm of ExxonMobil. My primary work focus area was the Gippsland Basin fields, offshore Victoria, Australia which ExxonMobil operates on behalf of a JV with BHP. I also provided support to ExxonMobil's non-operated assets within the offshore Carnarvon Basin (i.e. Gorgon & Jansz gas fields). My responsibilities included seismic interpretation & mapping, reservoir/geological modeling, seismic acquisition & processing and development well planning, operations & reporting. I also had the pleasure of mentoring several early career professionals and guiding them on their journey to becoming outstanding geoscientists. My expertise is primarily Production Geoscience specializing in optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from mature assets, but I have worked across all business stages in my 31+ year career.

Lead Geoscientist for the Gorgon Gas Field Development (Operated by Chevron), offshore Carnarvon Basin. My role included oversight of Operator's technical work through full technical 'shadow work' on key issues (e.g. Seismic Interpretation & Geological Model building etc. I also conducted a VOI exercise & recommendation to participate in the Ocean Bottom Node 3D seismic acquisition over the Gorgon Gas Field in 2015-16. I re-built the Jansz reservoir model following the 8 well development drilling program in 2015 (DC1 & DC2). I also monitored (remotely) the seismic field operations for the Gorgon OBN seismic survey. I was involved in the seismic processing via key milestone workshops with CGG/Chevron and then interpreted the new 3D to provide all the seismic inputs to a full 3D reservoir model build for the Mungaroo fluvial reservoirs at Gorgon. Following this, I worked with the Chevron geoscientists to select & optimize the drill-well locations for the Gorgon Phase 2 Development Drilling Program (GS2).

I was seconded from ExxonMobil Exploration Company, USA to Total (France) for a 3 month period in 2002. The Angola Block 17 joint venture agreed to assemble a joint team of geoscientists to quickly map, assess and propose (if warranted) an exploration well on a newly processed 3D seismic survey across the inboard (east) portion of the permit. The permit term was approaching expiry and time was critical. I mapped the Acacia prospect ( a salt cored, faulted anticline with Oligocene slope channel complexes) and we proposed an exploration well. This is resulted in a large oil discovery which was subsequently developed as part of the Pazflor FPSO Oil Development.

I worked primarily in an oversight role with Delhi Petroleum (owned by Esso Australia Resources Limited at the time). Santos was the operator. My responsibilities included evaluating seismic proposals and hydrocarbon prospects for explorations drilling ahead of decisions to participate in these operations or not. I was also involved in volumetric assessments, budget planning and drilling operations decisions such as voting on Drill Stem Tests in wells.
