I ensure that all solutions strongly deliver to non-functional requirements that meet performance and availability; are scalable and robust; recover to point and time objectives; are secure (including hardening of application and infrastructure) and resilient. Solutions always include capacity planning, backup and recovery, load profiles, and have full plans for service delivery.My current projects include:• a new subscription management system• a new events management system• a data project; linking disparate data together from internal and cloud-based networks to enable enhanced reporting capabilities for increased business insights• transforming the use of AWS across the company

    The Technical Manager role evolved greatly over the period I held the post. The context transitioned from one in which the Division produced small amounts of digital content, to the introduction of complex services, platforms, products, and content. The Technical Manager role oversaw the creation and management of all technical roles during this time.The final stages of this role saw my responsibilities transitioning into solution architecture, focussing on solution design with a view to strategically managing our growing technology landscape.
