About Peter Martin
I grew up in a small town where I learned the value of hard work, dedication, and determination. These values were instilled in me at a young age and continued throughout high school where I participated in every sport I could. I believe those core values led me to walk on to the Texas A&M football team and earn an athletic scholarship. After graduating from Texas A&M university with a degree in Sport Management, I went on to be a graduate assistant football coach at the University of Louisiana Monroe. After a year and a half, I was promoted to be the Director of Football Operations. This position really allowed me to develop my talents of being an organizer and planner, while also creating ways to streamline daily operations of a Division I football program through technology. After a year and a half in this position, my wife was accepted to a Doctoral Graduate Physical Therapy program in Dallas, which brought a move and a career change to high school coaching. As a high school coach, I developed a passion for track and field and decided to transition out of football and coach track and field/cross country. I have become very involved in running and triathlons. While I have only had time for running due to my current job requirements, I plan on finding time to train for triathlons and hope to eventually compete in an Ironman triathlon.
