Social entrepreneur who has launched 3 not-for-profit businesses, an experienced manager and employment specialist as well as former social worker, trainee probation officer and Operations Manager.As a social entrepreneur, I previously founded Aspiro Opportunities and the ZERO Project. Aspiro ran for 8 years, commissioned by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) to provide employment services for those with lived experience of mental ill health. The ZERO Project delivered a community-based recycling service for Leicester city centre businesses, which also provided work and learning opportunities for local residents disadvantaged in finding paid employment.LPT then brought Aspiro's contract in-house with me leading the Mental Health Employment Support Service. Having managed the NHS service and Aspiro, I have helped and overseen the helping of over a thousand people find paid employment. My expertise also spans to bid writing, interview coaching, and training.Now, I have left the NHS to co-establish Real Purpose, a social enterprise aimed at uplifting individuals from poverty and facilitating equal participation in community life.
