My role within the Development team would be an analyst within EMEA Markets Surveillance; I created and provided requirements around product specific queries to resolve gaps in Citi's processes.Tasks can varied on a daily basis with adhoc projects, within my role I performed the following:· Quality Assurance testing on trade desk alerts, this is to ensure that the traders are dis-positioning alerts correctly and complying with their regulatory obligation around potential market abuse.· I lead and assisted work within a global team gaining cross boarder data clearance from countries for any new/existing initiatives which include MiFID II, MAR and Brexit regulations.· Reviewed BRD’s for projects, which include assisting with requirements in the efforts to provide successful implementation of the delivery of the EMEA MAR/MIFID II 2018 remediation plan and other enhancements. · · Assisted in the innovation, development and enhancement of any new and current surveillance models.

As a data quality analyst I followed procedures to ensure data either being newly created or modified was of its highest possible standard. I monitored several reports on a daily basis raising exceptions where necessary also ensuring the work had been re-mediated on a timely basis. Whilst reviewing reports I noted any trends or potential issues and presented to team once a week within the EMEA region on how to keep the data entered to its highest standard. I also attended a weekly Global meeting where we discussed and raised concerns on a global scale so I could communicate back to the EMEA region.
