Managed daily operations at Chicago Midwest Regional office. Primary responsibilities included the booking/planning and dispatching of all freight within 8 midwest states. Critical thinking was required in order to best utilize company resources and decrease unnecessary expenses (fuel, deadhead/out of route miles). In addition to securing high revenue freight, a concerted effort was made to secure drop trailer shippers and receivers to allow for better efficiency in my drivers Hours of Service. To further increase production and limit underutilized assets, I used my prior contacts in Customer Service to procure advantageous unload times and limit demurrage costs.

As a Customer Manager, I received recognition from both C.R. England and some of our largest clients, including Conway, Fedex and Walmart in regards to the ontime service of freight I was assigned to. Helped create a Swap Specialist position whose sole responsibility was to track late loads and locate solutions to achieve on-time delivery
