My role at RACQ is Technical Advisor/Staff Trainer The role of Technical Advisor/Trainer covers many bases,one of which is being the technical referral for our bank of motor assessors,ensuring they are all up to date with the latest repair information and technical requirements from the OEM's.The training of new and current staff is an enjoyable part of my role, yet can be a little challenging at times. Gaining my Cert IV in TAE has skilled me in identifying and addressing the different learning types enabling me to make the adjustments to my delivery of training ensuring a smooth and enjoyable transition from recruit to qualified assessor, also addressing and retraining of our current staffThe facilitation of external courses to our motor assessors is another area I am developing. I am in the process of gaining an external accreditation that will enable me to deliver courses internally for the technical enhancement of our assessors, also to minimise the effect on BAU.Conducting monthly reviews/audits on our current assessors helps identify our strengths and weakness's,delivering feedback on results helps to maintain a positive and consistent approach to RACQ's service delivery incorporating our core values Catastophe Response is part of my role I find particularly rewarding. The Technical Quality Department are among the first responders whenever a severe weather event presents, either by direct deployment to the effected region or via office-based claims management, leaving our bank of assessors to continue their BAU minimising any effect on service delivery to our membersTo enable me to function in my role as Technical Assessor, I have developed a number of working relationships in all areas of the motor vehicle repair industry. The building of new, and maintaining of current business relationships also keeps me busy and is an enjoyable part of my role.
