Peter co-founded IVS in 2004 and through a variety of roles from Business Manager to CEO guided its development through to its successful sale to private equity in 2022.During this time a successful laboratory and Training business were developed, business which now form the three entities of the IVS Group,Initially IVS was founded to support New Zealand’s forestry exports through biosecurity certification and audit services and to assist importers requiring Biosecurity Training. By keeping a value-added service mindset and innovation at the forefront of his leadership, IVS has grown organically and the range of services has expanded significantly. Importers now benefit from the Multi-Site Transitional Facility Service (an IVS initiative, approved by MPI), biosecurity consultancy and structural vehicle inspection services. IVS Training provides Biosecurity, Customs and Freight Forwarding Training and more recently, Forklift, Manual Handling and Dangerous Goods (both IATA and D Endorsement) Training. And of course, IVS Labs; established to ensure better control of quality and the timely delivery of timber testing services, IVS Labs is well regarded both in New Zealand and Australia. Peter set the strategic direction for the IVS Group and works across businesses to participate in solving the challenges faced by the trade sector and take advantage of emerging opportunities
