About Peter Wells

I work at the crossroads of my backgrounds in performing arts, anthropology, and permaculture design to create places that bring out the best in people. My primary work is creating urban food forests, which are self-supporting community gardens mimicking forest ecology. Having traveled extensively with this work and applied it in a range of different collaborations and cultural contexts, my hope is to continue creating healthy and inspiring places that restore landscapes, alleviate food insecurity, build disaster resilience, and spark imaginations for the next 150 years.
