Turning strategies into delivery plans and ensuring implementationIn 2007 I started the Switchover Help Scheme from the 30 page Scheme Agreement signed off by Government and the BBC Trust. Within 12 months I had delivered a pilot, built a management team, established the governance framework, procured the primary contractor and started service delivery.Earlier as Director, Financial Operations I had to rescue a struggling project – a shared service centre for finance involving two large outsource partners - and succeeded in delivering on time and to budget, providing a service to thousands of users across multiple sites.Fiduciary governance of large and complex organisationsI managed the Switchover Help Scheme budget of £600m as Chief Executive and was subject to detailed scrutiny at BBC Executive, BBC Trust, National Audit Office, and Public Accounts Committee levels.
