On joining GHF, I was able to make significant process improvements across a number of Regulatory Reporting regimes enabling all reports to be submitted automatically. As the Manager of the department I was also responsible for resolving clearing issues and intra-day problems as well as related incident reviews. I was the SME for multiple subjects including Transaction Reporting, responding to requests for information from members and other departments within the Exchange and additionally, represented the Exchange at customer service visits and liaised with clients at all levels. Finally, I conducted all departmental performance appraisals and recruited staff at various levels from Trainees to Assistant Managers

During my time at BNP I managed the migration of the back-office clearing system on to a new platform and conducted testing for Euro conversion and Y2K. I was also able to automate the ETD open position check using MS Access as well as automate the broker reconciliations using MS Excel. Additionally, I developed a database in MS Access to manage currency options by producing confirmations, accounting entries as well as automatically reconciling positions. I was responsible for the daily management of the office; covering broker reconciliations and clearing on multiple exchanges, overseeing the customer service provided by the department and supervising the processing of swaps, OTC currency options and emerging market options.
