This led to a major data-cleaning exercise in co-operation with the data supplier before loading could be progressed.• The data was extracted using the VB.NET data reader and then stored on a SQL Server database, where it was then validated. Any errors were written to a separate table. When valid, the data was then loaded into the main database and used to update the live system.• This gave users a stable system for checking errors and importing data for their daily updates.Other duties:• A background daily task of watching over the Australian overnight batch system and reporting any problems that arose.
