Management of the sponsor relationship with MindWorks Inc Ltd of the TTP organization. The TTP is an independent group of technical implementers based within academic sites around the world. Due to the nature of the software used by members of this group the primary sponsor organisation is now Micro Focus due to their purchase of the Novell, NetIQ and SUSE technologies. Each year the TTP has an annual technical conference in the USA, EMEA and APAC currently sponsored by Micro Focus, in addition to numerous other educational events and tradeshow attendance.This work also involves the day to day responsibility for relationship between academic customers and the company and the services provided to the academics by the company. The TTP may be considered as the route to market for the company in relation to its academic customers.

- Continuing of the event and training work started at Salford University as the complete company function was transferred to my company in 2004.- Took over the running of the global TTP group and started running annual conferences in the three regions of the world. Currently 3000+ members globally.- Responsibility for the Micro Focus Centre of Excellence relationship at the University of Regensburg in Germany.

Global

- Responsible for the academic programs globally for the Novell, NetIQ and SUSE business Units.- Consolidation of processes and programs from three distinct groups into one.- Numerous global events, tradeshows and training workshops.- Considerable contract and program document development work.- Managed the two way flow of information between the academic customers and the company and looked for opportunities for both sides to benefit from the relationship.- Managed the company sponsorship of the academic TTP organization and delivered associated events and training workshops.

- Larger scale events and training workshops to develop the use of Novell and other computing products within the UK.- Permission to run BrainShare UK within the UK for the first time.- Concentration on bespoke training globally including contracts for the United Nations staff development programs.

- Became the primary distribution and support organisation for Novell to academia in the UK and Southern Ireland- Involvement with European Union funding projects to seed computing technology into Russia and Eastern Europe.

- Worked with group in Adelaide University on the development of a Cobol Compiler for the Prime Super Mini Computers- Spent six months in the Sultanate of Oman directing the Computer Centre development project in the new Sultan Qaboos University with tasks ranging from project planning and installation work across to staff recruitment.- Negotiating special licensing deals for UK academia with computing suppliers.- Established a relationship with Novell to allow all UK academic purchasing and support for Novell products to come through my group at the University.- Started training and events on Novell related products globally.

Muscat, Oman

Worked with the Sultan Qaboos Project team helping to build the new University in the Sultanate of Oman. Responsible for the purchasing of the IT Infrastructure and Computer Center staff recruitment. This was a secondment from my role at the University of Salford.
