Familiarised with multiple monitoring applications.Additionally, worked with Cisco products, configuring and installing Distribution and Access Switches in multiple environments.MassDiscounters Responsibilities included:- Maintenance of Dashboards in the NOC to maintain relevance and visibility to various vendors in the environment- Multiple reports from various vendors compiled together to provide a succinct Morning and Evening SitRep to update key individuals of the status of the MassDiscounters environment.- Weekly and Bi-monthly reports to various teams in order to investigate and baseline the health of various technologies and environments. Investigation into the findings of these reports and results using various IMS and monitoring systems, then escalated to relevant teams with calls logged in ITSM systems to improve or investigate the health of said technologies and environments.- Project management regarding rollout of monitoring strategies, updating monitoring systems and tracking progress of rollout of software and hardware to Game and Dion Wired Stores in South Africa and Africa.- Assisting in coordination between multiple vendors for a variety of situations ie Load Testing, vendor-specific project rollouts, updates on break-fix solutions etc.- Troubleshooting Critical Site and Store LAN and WLAN issues to determine source of any issues and escalating issues to relevant vendors or departments.RBCT responsibilities:- Assisting in applying configurations to Cisco Switches at the Distribution and Access level- Installation of Switches in a production environment. Cutting over both Ethernet (Copper) and Fibre connections.
