We do it by providing transformational experiences rooted in lessons that have been taught since time immemorial. The Shriners and Shriners Hospital come from being masons first. This off-shoot of the masons continues the fun, fellowship and philanthropy, with members being Presidents, Business Leaders, Professional Actors and Real People.The Brethren of the Grand Lodge of Colorado have been in the vanguard of a renaissance among the Craft. We are rediscovering, reinvigorating and revitalizing the beauty, solemnity, richness and high quality of our Lodge experiences, and we recognize that the practice of Freemasonry within the tiled recesses of the Lodge is the foundation of the Craft.HOW IT STARTEDIt all began in 1872 in New York City when a few men who were Masons decided to find something they could do that involved family and was fun. As a result, for 50 years the shrine existed, albeit without a true purpose.In 1922 everything changed. That is when the shrine decided to create an organizational purpose around helping children.At the time, polio was running rampant, so the shrine built the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, known today as Shriners Hospitals for Children.TODAYThere are now 22 such hospitals in the world, and they treat children for conditions such as cleft pallet, burns and spinal injuries, and also provide critical family support as well.To learn more, visit this link:http://www.beashrinernow.com/

The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both men and women may belong. Worldwide, there are currently more than 1.2 million members under the General Grand Chapter. The Colorado Grand Chapter currently has about 9,000 members.The Order’s national and international programs provide service dogs of all types, including for Seeing, Hearing, and Psychological challenges.Although not a part of the Masonic fraternity, membership is based on a Masonic affiliation or relationship, belief in a Supreme Being, and a desire to acquire additional knowledge and self improvement. While this is an Order composed of people of deep spiritual convictions, it is open to all faiths, except no faith. The personal welfare of our members is vital to all of those in the Eastern Star, and it is considered a privilege to help another member whenever we can.

The club was founded in the early 1960's as a chapter of Toastmaster's International, a group which stresses education in public education. The club did not remain with toastmasters very long, as we did not fit into their rigid format and non-political requirements.This organization has faithfully carried out its primary mission of encouraging political discourse, encouraging and supporting Republican candidates. This has long been a training ground for Republican Candidates.
