Represented our team and technology in post-acquisition integration, planning, and staffing discussions. Created project strategy to blend NBCU publishing platform and our NewsAPI technology to deliver a reimagined NBCNews.com on an aggressive schedule, using ASP.NET, C#, Drupal 7, Nancy, PHP, RabbitMQ, RavenDB, and other technologies. Participated in project as an implementation lead, defining technical and performance requirements, doing sprint planning, daily standups, code reviews, and some pair programming.

Served as final technical authority for the company. Scaled up my impact by focusing on helping others succeed and lead. Served as acquirer main technical contact in purchases of Newsvine and EveryBlock, and as acquiree contact in NBCU purchase of MSNBC. Supported launch of NBC Sports on our platform. Guided new platform effort using ASP.NET MVC, C#, and RavenDB, providing strategies and feedback.

Designed and developed web applications and utilities for MSNBC.com, using ASP, ASP.NET, BAT, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, SQL, Win32, and other technologies. Provided technical leadership and support to staff through design and code reviews.Participated in the initial site launch. Solo projects included taskbar alert app, dynamic menus, personalization, and image resizing. Collaborated with operations team to optimize performance and respond to high traffic events. First served as project development lead on 2005 redesign, team’s first major release that was both on time and stable. Led technical effort to bring CNBC.com onto our publishing platform, training and supporting their development team.
