Throughout my career I have worked with both large organisations and individuals. Whilst unique in their position, they all share a common need. People with a need, a want, pain points and expectations. Through careful listening and problem solving I have been successful in roles in diverse industries including audio visual integration, outdoor education, hospitality and education. Roles have included outdoor leadership, commercial cookery, campcraft training, hospitality management, installation, business development, training and sales. My current role assisting clients to navigate a path to a successful outcome sees me working with both businesses and retail buyers. The modern workplace is filled with all manner of equipment intended to make our lives more efficient and engaging. Whether you are the CFO funding it, the technician installing it or the presenter using it, we all need to be on the same page. I specialise in bringing together key contributors to identify and deliver technology aligned to the needs of the project. This includes the contributing parties such as architects, consultants, builders and allied trades. My international business experience across Asia, the US and the UK has given me a reputation of being the team member who can respond with empathy and deliver an agreed and timely outcome.I hold qualifications in hospitality, outdoor leadership and workplace training. I am proficient in numerous software platforms and take great pride in my ability to develop a thorough understanding of technical documents, RFQ, RFP and tender requests. A key focus is on listening and thoroughly understanding the requirements and pain points of my audience. This occurs under the broad umbrella of Business Development Manager, where my technical and business acumen has led to over 30 years of project success. This has included performing arts centres, meeting rooms, restaurants, sports stadiums and corporate headquarters. Proficient technology includes large format audio, stage lighting, automation, control, video conferencing, digital signage, sound masking and hearing augmentation. I relish in the challenge that a project with competing deadlines and changing priorities brings. The blended role of designer, salesman, project manager and client supporter is my nirvana.Outside of paid work I can be found volunteering with several organisations, mostly involving the outdoors and supporting others to be the best version of themselves. My two passions are the mental health of the middle aged and sled dog racing.
