I provide software architecture and engineering services for commercial and not-for-profit clients, including■ Modernizing development, deployment, and execution stacks for a portfolio of data management applications that reconcile music streaming activity with rights owners, handling over $100M of digital royalties every month. ■ Supporting backend, infrastructure, and devops for an AWS-based data warehouse used by cybersecurity firms to share and analyze ongoing threat information.■ Building back-end and infrastructure services for a low-latency browser-hosted content filter used by content providers to block harmful content in third-party advertisements. ■ Developing software components for a cybersecurity firm that provides hosted network scanning, threat assessment, and analytics to commercial customers.

I support technical operations for Offbook Productions, which provides video editing, motion graphics design, sound design, voice acting, and post-production support for a number of commercial, government, and non-profit clients. This includes software and hardware support, network management, web site design and administration, and other technical help as required by the creative staff.

Primatics provides financial institutions with services and software to process, model, and analyze loan portfolios, comply with accounting and regulatory requirements, and grow their businesses. Primatics business solutions are built using EVOLV, a scalable application platform for automating finance and risk processes that combines on-demand utility computing, Software-as-a-Service delivery, and Big Data analytics. As a senior technical lead within the Primatics software development group, my role was to identify new approaches to distributed computing and data analytics that enable solutions to be more scalable, flexible, and manageable. My latest project was applying open-source big-data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Scala, Amazon EMR) to our data transformation stack, using a model-based processing framework I developed that mapped business data transformations to a series of Spark jobs. I was also responsible for improving the quality and efficiency of our software development processes, including test-driven development, build management, and devops.

Provided technical leadership for SRA enterprise knowledge management initiatives, responsibilities including architecture, custom solution development, and software administration. Oversaw technical development and operation of SRA's corporate SharePoint systems, which provided over 6500 employees and external users with web-based tools for information sharing, collaboration, records management, and social networking.

Technical Director for the SRA's Knowledge Management (KM) Center of Excellence (COE), a horizontal solutions group providing knowledge management and information sharing offerings and solutions to a variety of government clients. Responsibilities include leading and advising development teams, developing new solutions and offerings, supporting new business development, evaluating products and emerging technologies, interfacing with customers to elicit and develop requirements, coordinating technical activities across projects, and managing internal technical infrastructure.

Provided technical leadership and support for numerous government and commercial client engagements, as both technical lead and individual contributor. Defined software architecture, identified system requirements, designed and implemented components, delivered applications to clients, supported client operations and maintenance. Supported new business capture activities through technical advisory and direct proposal contributions. Led various internal knowledge sharing and professional development activities, including classroom teaching, communities of practice, and direct mentoring.

Led tools support team for a planning and budgetary analysis system used by US Army force planners. Analyzed requirements, set technical goals, and coordinated systems- and applications-level software development efforts. Designed, developed, and maintained application support systems, including database access and report generation systems, user interface tools, digital map displays, and other platform components.
