Reporting to the Group IT Director and acting as his deputy, I was responsible for a department of approximately 20 staff providing systems development, support and project management services to Surridge Dawson. Whilst in this role I undertook a fundamental restructuring of the department and a review of key development and support processes to enhance the service we provided to our internal customers and to improve and stabilise the software development and release procedures.

Reporting to the VP of Development I was responsible for a department of approximately 30 staff based in London and Dublin providing systems development, maintenance, software testing, documentation and internationalisation for the Prime Vantage CRM product suite across a world-wide customer base. I was also in charge of the internal systems support team and I was overall Programme Manager for the development of the Prime Vantage CRM software suite.

Reporting to the VP of Client Services I had complete project management responsibility for the implementation of the Prime Vantage CRM product in various blue-chip clients including British Airways, NatWest Cards, Telenor Mobil and Wachovia Bank.

Reporting to the Systems Development Manager, I had total project management responsibility for IT projects from inception to completion. My emphasis was on defining and then meeting business objectives through systems development and deployment, particularly concentrating on Supply Chain initiatives with the national grocery multiples who had become Surridge Dawson's major retail customers. My key focus was on project management and team leadership.

As Business Project Manager I was responsible for providing the interface between the business and IT functions. Key tasks included the formulation of user requirements, preparation of systems specifications, systems testing and project management. During this time I was selected to be Surridge Dawson's representative on a major news distribution supply-chain project with WH Smith News, John Menzies and Surridge Dawson's major retail customers.

Reporting to the Systems Development Manager I was responsible for the management of software development and implementation projects with teams of up to five technical staff. Duties included project planning, preparation of systems specifications, hands-on programming, systems testing and implementation. My primary focus was on e-commerce and EDI.

Working with the Computer Services Manager I was responsible for the application and technical support functions within a department of five. Duties included the selection, purchase and implementation of hardware, network and software products plus systems installation/configuration and bespoke software development.

Reporting to the Computer Services Manager I was one of an embryonic IT department of two staff. I was responsible for 'hands-on' support and development of an enterprise-wide distribution system running in 30+ remote sites. Duties included hardware and network support plus software specification, programming, testing, implementation and support.

I provided systems support for 6 remote branch computer systems for Thrower Bros. Group, an independent builders merchants based in South London. Duties included software development and applications support and the implementation and support of information systems.
