About Peter Jones
"Excellence is a better teacher than mediocrity. The lessons of the ordinary are everywhere. Truly profound and original insights are to be found only in studying the exemplary." Warren BennisProfessionally I love the ethos of not just telling clients/customers the problems or issues but presenting them with the opportunities and solutions. I aim for this on a professional level in every aspect of my work. With the Department my work has largely focused on map production and spatial data capture. I have provided assistance in a wide variety of published documents for staff and external stakeholders, including maps, and graphic design. My work with TME involved providing environmental management services and solutions. A major focus was on the preparation of better urban water management plans, and incorporating practical and feasible solutions to achieve best water management practices across various projects. I also gained a strong understanding and appreciation of water sensitive urban designs (WSUD, aka LID or SUDS). I also provided spatial analysis and 3D mapping products for the company.Throughout my university and professional career I have always had a fascination and interest in spatial modelling and analysis. All my positions since leaving university have let me have a strong involvement with GIS and spatial modelling. Prior to my joining of TME there were very limited GIS capabilities, however with my experience and skills I helped create a whole new service for the company.
Listed skills include Sustainability, Gis, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Management Systems, and 25 others.
