Their business includes pharmaceuticals, comprising prescription drugs, consumer healthcare and generics; vaccines and animal health and their 2010 turnover was in excess of £25Bn.During 2011, they acquired a company by the name of Genzyme for $20.1bn and they were focused on redistributing the brands and therefore personnel to better utilize the attributes of the respective companies.I was brought into the organization for a short period in order to assist with the integration.

BP is in the process of establishing a single source of truth within their IT&S financial reporting function. They have developed an application on an SAP BW platform to ingest the actual financial information and then to use this information for financial reporting and forecast updating.I project managed the integration of the application into the live environment and then subsequently to hold an interim management role while I defined and established the processes and procedures needed to drive this process.Whilst in this interim management role, I created the processes and develop the software to support a global financial transactions database allowing project managers to manage their projects from this global platform.

Sony is in the process of centralizing it’s accounting functions into a Shared Service Center and as part of that process, they introduced document scanning across Europe.I was brought on board to give focused attention to the European Xerox scanning process, to identify the underlying issues and provide operational support to the business while those issues remained unresolved.Having identified the issues and put the actions in place to resolve them, I transitioned my role to a permanent employee who was identified for the role going forward.

Globeleq develops power plant facilities in developing markets so it globally distributed interests. It has offices in London and Houston. My task was to analyze the business requirement, configure a prototype, specify the customization and deploy the resulting solution. The client had previously deployed SharePoint 2003 and they wanted to use the SharePoint/MOSS 2007 platform for the EDRMS.SharePoint is a product that has a track record of non adoption by users so the accent on the implementation was to create a solution that was user friendly. For me this solution was unique because the overriding concern was to only retain one copy of each document (plus versions) and maintain document security whilst at the same time servicing the needs of a matrix organization

Cendant (a US public corporation) bought Gulliver’s Travels (GTA) for $1.1 billion effective March 2005 and it was my responsibility to assist in transitioning this company into an SEC and SOX compliant company capable of supporting the internal needs of the corporation. The activities that I was responsible for while I worked for GTA were:• Portfolio Management: It was my task to manage the finance portfolio – in which capacity I was required to manage stakeholders expectations as well as the budget for this portfolio.• Release management for an average of 500 (mainly web based) projects at any one time covering an annual budget of some $5 million and involving 150 internal end external resources (global audience of over 3500 employees in 20 countries).
