As the Business Analyst for Fleet Solutions, I was responsible for business processes analysis and change to identify and implement improvement opportunities for Fleet SolutionsKey Achievements• Delivered a detailed current state analysis and options report focused on Plant and Equipment hire records management. The new solution reduces risk, streamlines administration processes, allows detailed reporting and analysis, leverages existing investment, removes process duplication and reduces cost.• Designed, specified and managed the implementation of a successful new Cisco Finesse based call centre telephone solution. The project delivered a professional, state-of-the-art solution that presents an excellent customer experience, detailed reporting capability, administrative call load balancing and a platform that can grow with the business. • Automated the bill of materials, labour resource requirements, and associated documents mapping to SAP work orders for over 1000 vehicles. Reduced administration processing time, ensured correct allocation of materials and labour, identified and corrected master data and administration process issues.• Analysed and configured SAP to automate the process of correct hourly labour charge application to work orders.• Investigated, analysed, tested and recommended new anti-graffiti strategies for use with Council’s lunchroom and tool storage caravan fleet. The new solutions facilitate easy and environmentally friendly in-field graffiti removal, significantly reduce costs and allow rapid removal of unsightly graffiti from Council assets. The investigation demonstrated the benefits and cost savings of new anti-graffiti products that provide long term protection.

As the Operations Coordinator, I was responsible for the efficient management of the Fleet Solutions Centralised Scheduling and Administration teams, Allocations/Reception team, and Casual Owner Drivers team to achieve timely and cost effective outcomes including responsibility for the delivery of planned fleet maintenance schedules and activities to satisfy customer and stakeholder expectations. Key Achievements• Contributed to a 30% increase in productivity and reduced risk by developing and implementing new administrative processes to priortise, schedule and manage and report on maintenance work orders and labour allocation.• Recommended and managed the development and delivery of more than 60 detailed process and work instruction documents covering all administrative functions. The project delivered reduced staff training time and cost, improved administrative work quality, reduced the risk of knowledge loss, identified improvement opportunities, and facilitated staff cross-skilling.• Improved telephone call management and customer experience by recommending and managing the implementation of a message bank solution. • Facilitated the rapid resolution of many iPad and other ICT issues through use of personal expertise, staff training, and liaison with Council ICT support.

After accepting a voluntary redundancy, I took the opportunity to take a career break. During this time I travelled overseas, spent quality time with my young family and completed home renovations.

Within this role I provided leadership and oversight to a team of five across facilities maintenance, asset coordination, accommodation, procurement, and infrastructure.. I also provided indirect supervision to site supervisors and maintenance crews.Providing strategic input into planning processes, I oversaw significant asset management projects, and developed and implemented an Asset Replacement Plan, including managing acquisition and disposal of significant BNIT infrastructure, plant and equipment.Conducting end-to-end management of procurement across all areas of TAFE’s seven-campus business I managed service supply, store and inventory, and standing offer and non-traditional supply arrangements. In addition I chaired procurement selection panels, analysed a wide variety of goods and services, implemented government procurement policies, and leveraged existing contracts.Responsible for maintenance, minor and capital works projects I planned and delivered a range of large-scale building refurbishment and maintenance projects. This included scheduling and managing multiple project activities occurring concurrently across multiple campuses. With tight time frames and budgets, projects were delivered with minimal disruption to business-as-usual operations.Focusing process improvement, I performed a current state analysis, merge of records and archives and managed the roll out of a new web enabled solution across three large Institutions. This result reduced risk and cost, increased accessibility and usability, and refined linkages between procurement activities, cost centres and business units.Skilled in waste reduction, I reduced operating costs and improved sustainability by implementing rainwater and groundwater harvesting solutions and implementing LED lighting solutions. Commencing as the Technical Support Officer Communications, I was promoted to Technology Services Team Leader and then to Manager ICT Services. I was responsible for the design, implementation, management and monitoring of all ICT solutions, leading a team of four.Delivering ICT operations across 34+ regional and remote QLD sites, I maintained in excess of 99% uptime. I also managed a broad range of concurrently running short- and long-term ICT projects, with responsibility for all aspects of planning, scheduling, monitoring and review. This included planning and execution of AUD$4.2m in expansion works, including rolling out a Cisco-based ISDN communications network which greatly increased available bandwidth. I also rolled out ADSL technology which facilitated faster communication and reduced cost.Playing an advisory role to the executive I made recommendations on IT strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organisational requirements, identifying issues, evaluating trends and anticipating needs. Most notably I successfully provided ICT, AV and Elluminate Live! web conferencing solutions across regional and remote QLD, increasing opportunities for thousands of students.In addition I spearheaded the design and development of the rugged mobile laptop lab solutions that facilitated mobile, computer-based teaching in many very remote QLD locations. This included developing detailed user manuals to facilitate establishment of the labs on site and resolution of common issues.Leading the procurement of all hardware, software and ICT services in line with organisational policies and funding requirements, I implemented software-based helpdesk solutions, increasing helpdesk manageability and customer satisfaction.Managing all voice audio visual, conferencing, data communication and data storage solutions, I designed, constructed and managed a sophisticated in-house data centre that serviced remote sites, mobile labs and local users.
