I have a wide skill set and good experience in many areas of development. I am trained and currently use Structured Analysis and Design as well as UML software modeling using the ICONIX process. I prefer good communications over the latest method, especially in the requirements phase, where mistakes are the most costly.I have several years of experience with embedded hardware design and implementation. In addition, I have several years of experience in software design and implementation. This includes microcontrollers from 8-bit to 32-bit, with RISC and CISC instruction sets. Programming languages include C, C++, and assembly.My experiences also include work with component vendors to ensure compliance and verification to requirements as well as auditing for verification of compliance. I have experience writing requirements documents for the components in my area. I worked directly with the purchasing department as well.My experiences in the Advanced Development department at Delphi Electronics and safety show my creative side. I have one a patent that will be issued in my name and a defensive publication (released anonymously). In addition, as a technology planner I have been involved in the analysis (risk/reward) and decision making process for technology direction and tracking of projects.As an experienced engineer at Delphi I have also had the chance to mentor employees. I have been able to mentor younger engineers, encouraging them to reach beyond their current skill sets, including replacements as I received promotions. As a mentor working with others I believe that this is an important part of engineering to guarantee that those around you grow as you do.In my current position at Delphi I am responsible for supporting advanced development wireless communications projects.
