Nano Terra is an innovation and product development company. We help companies develop and commercialize transformational products using our expertise in surface science, printing and patterning, and advanced materials. There are 6 Teams specializing in different technology areas and I head-up the Engineering Team. We provide support to the other Teams in the form of product and machine design, prototyping, electronics development, physics-based modeling, and computer programming.Additionally, I lead a Team to execute on several commercial and government programs. My responsibilities include program management, new business development, proposal writing, and IP generation.

I collaborate with colleagues to bring innovative new technology to market through commercial and government relationships spanning industries from agriculture, oil & gas, and defense.

As an engineer at Nano Terra, I designed and built prototypes to support innovative and advanced product development efforts within commercial and government programs.

I co-led the redesigning of an electrohydrodynamic jet (e-jet) printing system and made a site visit to Sharp Labs to train their employees on its operation. I also maintained and operated an e-jet printer which included designing and executing experiments to reduce the diameter of e-jetted droplets (250nm). I advanced the usability of the e-jet system through the design, simulation and testing of a method to allow e-jet printing onto dielectric and insulated substrates. I was the lead author of the 2011 NAMRC Conference paper "A High-Resolution E-Jet Printing System" and wrote a thesis titled "A 2nd Generation Electrohydrodynamic Jet (E-Jet) Printing System, Parametric Studies of E-Jet Nozzles and Integrated Electrode E-Jet Deposition".

As a summer intern, I worked to improve a gas valve calibration station reducing testing time and labor costs. I then programmed the station using ladder logic. I designed a gas valve leak detector to sort good and bad parts and worked with quality assurance.

During my time at Baer Engineering I was able to design street layouts, pipe elevations and water drainage for parking lots. Additionally, I learned how to survey to assist with designing. This was summer and winter break employment while earning my Bachelor's Degree.

I designed mathematical models of car suspensions using C++ to assist in the design of a realistic formula car simulator.
