Deputy Health And Care Director
I am Deputy Health and Care Director of the new NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN). As part of my role I will have oversight of various national specialty and setting groups. I am Deputy Medical Director of the NIHR CRN. As part of my role I have oversight of various national specialty groups, including ageing, children, reproductive health and childbirth, primary care, public health, mental health and health services research. Since 2022 , I have had a personal chair in primary care research in the University of Exeter. I undertake general practice and primary care research as part of the APEx group in primary care within the University of Exeter. My research interests include early diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, primary care genomics and continuity of care.

Since 1995 I have been part of the St Leonards Research Practice in Exeter, undertaking research with my colleagues. We have published extensively in the primary care world literature, predominantly around relational continuity and continuity of care with the GP.
