Since 2008, it has conducted an annual Symposium to gather leading educators working at the intersection of design and social innovation to share and develop methods and tools for teaching and practicing social impact design. It was one of the first design schools to teach both online and on-site courses with full degree programs available in both settings for over fifteen years.AAU offers degree programs in over twenty distinct fine arts and applied design disciplines. Initially, I was hired as Graduate Director for the School of Graphic Design to develop and manage the fledgling MFA degree program and migrate the School’s curriculum to the online setting.
