There I was the only Generator mechanic in our entire unit, responsible for 10 3KW generators and two 30KW generators, when in the field I set up all power grids and maintained power, never loosing power while under load. I then went on to one of the biggest Battalions in the USMC the 8th Engineer Suport Battallion. While with 8th ESB I was stationed with MEPS platoon (mobile electric power support) we mainly focused on preventive maintenance and being deployment ready. I was promoted three times in the Marine Corps meritoriously, and was recognized numerous times. I was awarded Marine of the month, Marine of the quarter twice, NCO of the quarter twice and finished my enlistment as a Sergeant after four wonderful years.
